ACM and SG River

ACM & SINGAPORE RIVER

Before embarking on this learning journey, we all assumed that museums were boring and thought that it was a waste of time learning about the past as it is called the past for a reason, not the future. We were not that interested to go for the learning journey. However, we still went with an open mindset. When we arrived at the Singapore River, we were mesmerised by the scenery before us. We had hoped that the learning journey would not be so boring. We explored along the Singapore River with a trusty app that we were recommended to download for an even more enriching experience. The name of the app is ‘Baliksg’. It is an app that made use of virtual reality. When pointing our phone at a specific statue, the statues would “come to life” in a virtual form on our phones and educate us on the past. They even wore traditional costumes to make it more realistic! After touring around the Singapore River, we headed to the Asian Civilisation Museum. We were tasked to wander around the museum to find more information that would help us with our SPICE project and to learn and understand more about the different religions and every races’ own special and unique artworks. By doing this, we could also get a peek at history. It seemed like a movie scene when we entered the museum as it gave off a mysterious and creepy vibe. It was so cool! We spent approximately an hour and a half gathering information we needed. Although to others it might seem like a boring experience, the company we had made it much more exciting and interesting! We would like to thank the teachers for being so kind to us and for taking care of us throughout this trip!
